What we collect
- Shop owners: your name, email, shop name and address, your barbers' names and chairs, and a hashed password. Card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
- Customers joining the line: your first name, your mobile number, the service you asked for, and any note you choose to add. That's it. This is shown to the shop's staff so they know who's next.
About your location
The walk-in line can only be joined at the shop, so the booking page asks your phone for its position and sends it once, to answer a single yes-or-no question: are you within the shop's radius? We compare it and throw it away. Your coordinates are not written to your record, not kept in a log of where you were, and never shown to the shop — the shop sees only that you were close enough to get in line. Decline the location prompt and you simply can't join the line from your phone; ask at the counter instead.
How your number is used
- Messages about your own place in the line — you're in, you're next, your chair is ready. These are service messages, sent from the shop's own number.
- Promotional messages only if you separately ticked the opt-in box. Reply STOP to any text to opt out at any time.
Who can see what
- Anyone: how many people are waiting and roughly how long — counts only, no names.
- The lobby screen: ticket numbers and a first name with a last initial. Never a surname, a number, or a note.
- A barber: the full detail for their own chair only, through a private link. Barbers cannot see each other's lines.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Canadian-region providers (Toronto). A tamper-evident audit ledger records consent events and message sends so opt-outs are provable.
What we never do
- Sell or rent personal information.
- Message customers on behalf of anyone other than the shop they lined up at.
- Keep card numbers, CVCs, or full payment details on our servers.
- Track where you are between visits, or at any moment other than the one you tap to join the line.
Your rights
Email us to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Customers can also ask the shop they lined up at, and we'll action it on their behalf.
