Terms of Service
BarberConnekt · Last updated October 7, 2026
1. The service
BarberConnekt provides a QR-code walk-in queue service for barbershops: a hosted page where customers join a barber's line (from the shop, or from wherever they are unless that shop has turned on an on-site-only rule), printable QR materials, queue notifications, a per-chair staff app, an optional lobby display, and an owner portal. The service is provided to the subscribing business ("you") for use at the shops you register.
2. Subscriptions & billing
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes (GST/PST), starting on the day you subscribe. A monthly plan renews on the same day each month; a yearly plan renews on the same date each year.
- A yearly plan is charged for the full year in advance at the price shown when you subscribe.
- The exact amount due today, taxes, and your renewal date are shown on the payment step before you are charged.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number.
3. Cancellation & refunds
- You can cancel anytime from your portal or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; you keep access until then.
- Fees already paid — monthly or yearly — are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Cancelling a yearly plan stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the year you have paid for.
4. Messaging & compliance
- Queue notifications — you're in line, you're next, your chair is ready — are transactional messages sent on your behalf to people who joined a line at your shop.
- Promotional messages are only sent to customers who separately opt in, and every one honours STOP/unsubscribe. You agree not to use the service to send messages that violate Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) or equivalent laws.
5. Waits and estimates
The wait shown to a customer is an estimate produced from your barbers' own service times and the line as it stands. It is not a promise of service by a particular time, and cutting hair is not a predictable business. You are responsible for what you tell your customers; we are responsible for the arithmetic being honest about what it knows.
6. Your responsibilities
- Keep your shop details accurate — location, radius, hours, barbers on the floor, and the service times the estimates are built from.
- Keep account credentials and per-chair links secure. A chair link grants access to that barber's line and the phone numbers in it; treat it like a key.
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including messages sent from your number.
7. Service changes & availability
We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted operation. We may improve or change features; material reductions in functionality will be communicated in advance.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BarberConnekt's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim.
